About · The Noble
One hundred years.Standing tall on South Grand.
A historic wedding and event venue at 3611 South Grand Blvd, St. Louis.
The building
The South Side’s first skyscraper.
The Noble opened as the South Side National Bank, the first skyscraper South St. Louis had ever seen — ten stories of “Greco Deco,” a style that blends Art Deco with classical Greek and Roman detail. Grey limestone wraps the exterior, carved with eagles, seals, and geometric patterns.
Inside, it only gets richer — two-story windows, paneled vaulted ceilings, marble details, original chandeliers, bank teller windows, and an 8-foot vault door, all of it original.
The venue is named for the man who designed it — architect W. G. Knoebel.
Today the main hall seats 220 for dinner and opens to 350 for a standing reception — big enough for weddings, corporate events, and private events.
